Green, Pink and Brass: A Reservoir Renovation
This Reservoir renovation includes two very different wet areas. The laundry and shower room is finished in soft pink, oak and stone. The main bathroom is a much bolder space, built around emerald green tile. Both rooms use the same Mimi Cove tapware in brushed brass.
Two wet areas, one renovation
The work at 41 Tunaley Parade covers a bathroom renovation and a laundry and shower room in the same Reservoir home.
The laundry and shower room is the softer of the two. Entiva Minimal Pink on the walls sits over a Sacred Stone in Salt floor, with Coastal Oak Woodmatt joinery and a Buller Stone benchtop. The bathroom went the other way. Verandi Emerald Green 600x600 porcelain covers its floor and walls, with a light green subway tile as the feature.
We didn't try to match the two rooms. Instead, we kept one thing the same: the Mimi Cove tapware range in brushed brass runs through both, so the two spaces share a finish even though everything else about them is different.
The Laundry and Shower Room
The floor is laid in Entiva Sacred Stone in Salt, a quiet stone-look tile that keeps the room grounded. Entiva Minimal Pink on the walls sets the softer tone. Coastal Oak Woodmatt joinery runs under a Buller Stone benchtop.
The sink is a brushed gold Atlas model, paired with a white Nisa pull-out mixer. In the shower, the fittings are Mimi Cove in brushed brass, the same range and finish used in the bathroom.
The Bathroom
The bathroom is the bolder room. Verandi Emerald Green 600x600 porcelain runs across the floor and up the walls, with a light green subway tile breaking it up.
Against all that green, the curved white Wave vanity and matte grey Otti Quay basin stand out clearly. An arched brushed-gold mirror and a Sawyer alabaster wall sconce add some softer lines, and the 1700mm Mimi corner bath makes good use of the space. The tapware throughout is brushed brass Mimi Cove, matching the laundry and shower room.
Different colours, the same home
The pink and oak finishes make the laundry and shower room feel soft and warm. The emerald green bathroom is a much bolder space. The rooms don't need to match.
What connects them is the tapware. The same Mimi Cove range in brushed brass appears in both rooms, and that's enough to make two very different spaces read as one renovation. It's a simple approach we use often on bathroom renovations across Melbourne.
